In 1976 we introduced the Intratympanic Gentamycine- Treatment for Meniere's Disease. We used several techniques, mostly ventilating tubes. Now we prefer to come back to an early technique: Gentamycine is injected through the tympanic membrane under local anaesthesia. During 1 - 3 days patients get one injection of 0,3 ml Gentamycine per day. Only one dose in patients with good hearing capacity! - After that patients are sent home. Treatment can be repeated if necessary. Results regarding Meniere's Attacks are safe (93 %).
