At present time the problem of chronic otitis media suppurative without cholesteatoma (COMS) is very actual. Taking into account aggressive bacteria flora in COMS (Ps. aeroginosa, strept. pneumomonia with anaerobics infections) and the fact that there are many other factors (granulation tissue, polyps, osteitis, and osteomyelitis) the long, intensive and complex treatment is used.
Against a background of antibiotic therapy (ciprofloxacine, gentamicine, augmentin) and non-steroid anti-inflammatory treatment (nifluril UPSA) endaural microsurgery is used. Immune-stimulators, adaptogen are used. The 30% solution of Lincomycine (Clindamycin), 10% Metronidasol (Flagyl) introduced locally after aspiration of middle ear cleft.
Physiotherapy treatment: helio-neon laser therapy in the middle ear. After several courses of such treatment different type of otomicrosurgery operations are recommended.
