This study was performed on 83 patients who were diagnosed as “sudden deafness" at ENT Clinic of SSK İzmir Educational Hospital in between 1992-1997. In this study, we searched the prognostic value of pre-treatment audiometric findings. We concluded that the upward sloping hearing losses had the best prognosis and severe sensorineural hearing losses had the worst prognosis.
