Acoustic neurinoma is responsible of slowly progressive vestibular disorder with simultaneous development of the central compensation. In the time of operation there exists almost always some residual activity of the labyrinth, caused acute dysbalance of the system and patient's vestibular disturbances Degree and velocity of the compensation are dependent on the way of the management in the postoperative period. The method that is effective in the treatment of this problem is vestibular training, divided into the three steps, shortens not only period of the patient's disability, but also improves the final level of the central compensation.

1st step: vestibulo-ocular exercises/ eye movements with head fixation - first 3 days/

2 nd step Vestibular exercises /head movements with eye fixation 4 th-7th day/.

3rd step: spatial orientation exercises /moving platform, game with ball and waltz/

The important rules are to start vestibular training the next day after surgery and to shorten the sedative medication on the minimum
